It All Started As a Dream...
Dream Big was established in 2016 with a simple goal in mind: to create a space where children of all abilities can come together, learn, and have fun. Our founder, Cristina Cordeiro, was inspired by her own background as a behavior therapist and by the influence of her mother, who worked as a special education teacher. Cristina wanted to design a place where her own children could thrive, and where other families would feel welcomed and supported.
What started as a play-centered space evolved quickly into a center-based therapy program. Cristina combined evidence-based early intervention techniques with a nurturing, play-based environment that felt less like a traditional clinic and more like a home playroom. Over the years, Dream Big has grown steadily, expanding our services and our reach. Today, we have 9 centers across Southern California and more than 400 dedicated staff members, known to us as Dreamers. We continue to learn from each child and family we serve, using every experience to refine our approach and improve the support we provide.
In our early years, we laid a strong foundation by focusing on inclusion and community. Our programs have grown to incorporate one-on-one autism therapy, group socialization activities, and comprehensive family education. We work closely with insurance partners to ensure that quality care is accessible to as many families as possible. Our history is one of steady growth and continuous improvement, all while remaining true to our core belief that every child deserves to be understood, supported, and given the opportunity to succeed.
